Digital Nomad Living

Monthly rentals in El Médano, Tenerife

It is not just renting a flat. It is settling in the Canary Islands for a season. A whole home, real conditions for working and an island around it. For weeks or months, not days.

The definition

Living and working in the Canaries, properly

A seasonal let: the home is your house for months, not for a weekend. You arrive with a suitcase and everything is there — furniture, kitchenware, sheets, internet — because buying a washing machine to stay four months makes no sense.

Between the comfort of a hotel, the space of an apartment, the connectivity of a co-working and the authenticity of living like a local. Three promises that hold at the same time.

Live

  • A whole, fully equipped home
  • A carefully chosen location
  • Terrace or pool, depending on the home
  • Views and natural surroundings
  • Beach and services nearby

Work

  • High-speed wifi
  • A proper workspace set up
  • Quiet, comfortable surroundings
  • Co-workings nearby, depending on location
  • Built for long working days

Experience

  • Local food
  • Nature and the outdoors
  • Cultural life and community
  • Leisure and switching off
  • The Canarian pace of life

Who it's for

Who stays for a season

02

Remote workers

Employees with full location freedom. They value stability, routine and a proper desk.

03

Designers, developers and marketers. Sensitive to price and to the inspiration of the setting.

The honest comparison

Flex Living against the alternatives

We are not always the best option and we won't pretend otherwise. It all depends on how long you stay and whether you need to register as a resident.

Item Flex Living Holiday rental Standard lease
Duration Short and mid-term Days or weeks 5-year legal minimum
Utilities Included Included You set them up
Furnished and fully equipped Fully Fully Almost never
Deposit On request None or token One month + one month extra guarantee
Residency registration No No Yes
Time until you can move in On request Immediate Weeks of paperwork

If you're staying more than a year and want to register as a resident, a standard lease suits you better than we do. We'll tell you so ourselves before you sign anything.

The monthly rate

What the price covers

One figure a month and that's it. No direct debits, no utility sign-ups and no bills in your name to cancel later.

  • Electricity, water and waste charges
  • Fibre internet already installed
  • Furnished and equipped home, kitchenware included
  • Maintenance and repairs, with someone who turns up
  • Cleaning on arrival and on departure
  • Regular cleaning during the stay: optional, arranged separately

The contract

What we need from you

Nothing extraordinary, but enough for both sides to sign with peace of mind.

  1. 1ID document or passport
  2. 2Proof of income or professional activity
  3. 3Deposit, if the home requires one
  4. 4Digital signature of the seasonal contract

The whole process is done remotely. You don't need to come and sign or even be on the island to close the booking.

Common questions

Before you sign

Can I extend if I want to stay longer?

Only in some cases. A seasonal rental is tied to a specific reason (work, studies, medical treatment…) and can only be extended if that reason still applies and the house is free. If that's your situation, let us know in good time and we'll look at it with you.

What if I have to leave early?

With one month's notice you can leave without penalty once the minimum is met. The deposit comes back all the same. Life changes plans and we don't see why that should be charged for.

Can I register as a resident?

No. A seasonal contract does not grant residency registration, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling you a problem. If you need to register, what you want is a primary-residence lease.

Is there a cap on electricity use?

There is a reasonable monthly cap, stated in the contract, set for normal domestic use. It only comes into play in extreme cases: an air conditioner running day and night all month, for instance.

Do you accept pets on long stays?

No. We love animals, but to protect guests with allergies we don't allow them in any of our homes.

Tell us how long you're staying

With your dates and the number of people we'll tell you which homes fit, the fixed price and when you could move in.
